An Overview of the Training and Performance Support System.

Abstract

The Training and Performance Support System (TPSS) was developed as a method of providing training and as an on-the-job support tool for Air Force personnel who are assigned to System Program Offices and involved in the acquisition of mission critical computer resources. The system is based on a three-level instructional concept that integrates training into an operational environment. The computer-based training provides modularized instruction that can be tailored to individual needs based on the student's background, job requirements, and daily schedule. The prototype application of the concept is for teaching Software Acquisition management. (Author)
