Convergence of Cubic Spline Interpolation with the Not-A-Knot Condition.

Abstract

It is shown that cubic spline interpolation with the not-a-knot side condition converges to any C squared without any mesh-ratio restriction as the mesh size goes to zero. Keywords: Cubic spline; Interpolation; Not-a-knot; Convergence; Total positivity.
