Green's Functions of the Reduced Wave Equation between Parallel Planes.

Abstract

The Green's functions in the region between planes on which either Neumann or Dirichlet boundary conditions apply are obtained in the form of double Fourier series expansions. A closed form expression for the sound field in an axisymmetric water filled channel is obtained in order to illustrate the usefulness of the expansions. Problems associated with numerical evaluation are discussed and some numerical examples are given. Keywords: Great Britain; boundary values problems; fluid-structure interactions. (Author)
