Cultural Resources Investigations for the State Road and Ebner Coulee Flood Control Project, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Abstract

This report concerns the archaeological resources investigations for the State Road and Ebner Coulee Flood Control Project at La Crosse, Wisconsin. A literature search and intensive survey of the project areas concluded that the National Register site (47LC20) will not be affected by the project. However, prehistoric cultural resources could be affected. In addition, potentially significant historical remains were discovered within the vicinity of the Eldon Lamb farmstead.
