Flaw Detection of Pressure Vessels by Laser-Holographic Non-Destructive Detection (NDT) Technique,

Abstract

Four simulative flawed pressure vessels are subjected to hydraulic pressure for the detection by laser holographic method. The characteristic of the fringe patterns due to the deformation of the flaws provides some valuable information which can be applied to evaluate the behavior and size of practical flaws in pressure vessels.
