SHARP (Stabilized High Altitude Research Platform).

Abstract

The Stabilized High Altitude Research Platform (SHARP) is a balloon-borne payload separable into two structutes. The lower sectgion, which is recoverable in mid-air, carries a gyroscopically-stabilized platform designed to stare at at or scan an area on or above the earth's surface.
