Multichannel Collision Resolution Algorithm.
Abstract
A multichannel random accessed communication system was considered. Every time slotted channel is shared by a large number of transmitters. To solve a collision which occurs at a certain time slot, several collision resolution protocols were tested, analyzed, and simulated. The quantities to be investigated in this thesis include L sub N (the average number of slots required to resolve a collision involving users), linear bounding of L sub n and the maximal achievable throughput. Keywords include: Multichannel System; Static m-ary Splitting; Dynamic m-ary Splitting; Binary Splitting with Energy Detector; and Collision Resolution Algorithm.
