A Fortran Program for the Determination of Unsteady Air Forces on General Combinations of Interfering Lifting Surfaces Oscillating in Subsonic Flow,

Abstract

A modification of the doublet lattice method of Albano and Rodden Ref.1 has been programmed to calculate the unsteady generalised airforces and pressures acting on interfering lifting surfaces in subsonic flow. The present method is applicable to general nonplanar and nonparallel lifting surfaces, which may be both intersecting and nonintersecting in nature. The relevant theory is developed in detail and an outline of the program and its usage is given. Comparisons with the results of other workers are included. Keywords: Australia; Unsteady flow; Aeroelasticity; Aerodynamic loads; Kernel functions; Pressure distributions. (Author)
