TRADOC After Action Report to Observations Noted during JRX Gallant Knight 83

Abstract

JTX GALLANT NIGHT 83 was a Joint Chiefs of Staff coordinated Command Post Exercise (CPX) sponsored by United States Readiness Command (USREDCOM). The exercise was conducted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, from 18-22 March 1983. Its purpose was to exercise the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) and its components. Within the framework of the exercise, TRADOC SME conducted a formal doctrinal evaluation of the following areas: (a.) joint attack of the Second Echelon (J-SAK) and (b.) joint force sustainability.
