Advanced Materials Research Status and Requirements. Volume 2. Appendix: Material Properties Data Review

Abstract

This document describes the status and requirements of advanced composite materials which are being considered for Engineering structural applications to U.S. Army Strategic Defense Command (USASDC) advanced material systems. The material examined covers the period from 1975 to mid-1984. In addition to raw material cost projection analysis, the document also presents data on the mechanical, thermal and physical properties of general interest advanced metal matrix and polymer matrix systems. Keywords: Reinforcement materials; Fabrication; Aluminum; Magnesium; Titanium; Epoxy; Phenolic; and Polyimide.
