Implementation of a Personnel Database System in Hellenic Armed Forces Formations.

Abstract

In order to increase the effectiveness of Hellenic Armed Forces, it is essential that personnel management be performed very efficiently. However, to manually manage all Armed Forces personnel is a very tedious, complex and time consuming job. Increased personnel volume has also increased the task of management making the operations more and more complicated. Furthermore, personnel managers and decision makers will need reliable information faster than is currently available. It is almost impossible to get all the information required by the personnel managers in the time frame allowed with a manual system. The authors propose an automated system to perform this function using dBASE II with an IBM personal computer. Source programs and sample reports are included. (Thesis)
