Regional Development Impacts and Their Measurements.

Abstract

This report reviews several analytical models which can be used for estimating the regional economic development impacts of water resource projects. A review of the history of Corps of Engineers efforts to introduce a working concept of economic development in various regions of the United States is also included. The final section of the report presents the theory, techniques and data sources for three analytical models and evaluates each model.
