Diffusion Estimates Handbook (Application to the Space Shuttle HC1 Exhaust Cloud).

Abstract

A simplified method is presented for making atmospheric diffusion estimates. The method is applied to the Space Shuttle HCl exhaust hazard at Vandenberg Air Force Base. A set of standard parameters and results are developed and applications to specific areas are included. Keywords: Rocket exhaust clouds, Hydrogen chloride, Diffusion, Mathematical models, Far field, Chemical concentration.
