Abstract

The chemical demilitarization program is based on Section 1412 of the 1986 Defense Authorization Act (Public Law 99-145) that directs the Department to destroy the complete unitary chemical stockpile by September 1994 in conjunction with production of binary chemical weapons. This report includes descriptive summaries, and costs for programs in chemical and munitions destruction. Activities include demilitarization technology and operation and maintenance.
