Battle Analysis: The Battle of Monte la Difensa. Deliberate Assault, Mountains, Winter, 2-8 December 1943

Abstract

From 2-8 Dec 1943, a composite US-Canadian elite force of highly trained soldiers attacked German Forces on one of the mountains in the Camino hill mass, a key terrain feature on the route to Rome. The battle analysis provides valuable information on mountain warfare and small unit factors.
