Battle Analysis: Villa Verde Trail, Luzon Deliberate Assault, Mountain, Jungle, February-May 1945.

Abstract

The 32d Infantry Division conducted offensive operations to clear Japanese forces from the Villa Verde Trail on Luzon from February to May 1945. Because of the enemy's stubborn defense in the mountain jungle, the 32d Infantry Division was forced to slug its way to its objectives relying heavily on small unit tactics.
