It stimulates technological innovation in the private sector, strengthening the role of small business in meeting DoD research and development needs, fostering and encouraging participation by minority and disadvantage persons in technological innovation, and increasing the commercial application of DoD supported research or research and development results. Presentation of the technical abstracts which describe the nature of the funded FY 1983 Phase I SBIR projects is the main purpose of this report. Proprietary information is not provided in these abstracts; therefore, technical details may be missing.
