High Point Pier Antigua, W.I.

Abstract

The objective of the underwater facility assessment conducted at the High Point Pier in Dutchman Bay. Antigua, W.I. was to provide a generalized structural condition report of that structure. The pier was inspected by a detail from Underwater Construction Team One (UCT-ONE) under the engineering supervision of the Chesapeake Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (CHESNAVFACENGCOM). The High Point Pier is property of the government of Antigua and is used by the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force, and by Panamanian commercial interests. It is of unknown age and the above water structure has suffered significant damage over the years, although there are signs of some attempts at rejuvenations.
