The Silent Enemy. Combat Stress Reaction.

Abstract

This project is an historical analysis of combat stress reaction. It traces the evolution of the identification, treatment and prevention of combat stress throughout American wars. It also draws upon lessons learned from the Israelis, and assesses the Prison of War (POW) combat stress reaction. Keywords: Battle Fatigue; War neurosis; Anxiety; and Stress psychology.
