Abstract

The Competition in Contracting Act of 1984 became law in July of that year, and established new requirements in contracting procedures for federal procurement agencies. The study summarizes the requirements of the act and the responses of the federal procurement community. In light of the impact of the law, the study then makes recommendations for further Air Force responses. (Author)
