Development and Evaluation of a Numerical Solution of the Euler Equations Using the Godunov Method.

Abstract

A computer program developed to solve the Euler Equations was applied to a variety of test cases, including turbomachinery cascades and analytical solutions for subsonic and transonic flow. With attention to boundary conditions and grid configuration, it was found the code had a robust capability to analyze unsteady, time dependent flow fields and shock patterns. Keywords: Computer code; Tubomachinery; and Time unsteady flow.
