Defense Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR). Abstracts of Phase I Awards. 1985.

Abstract

Objectives of the DoD SBIR Program include stimulating technological innovation in the private sector, strengthening the role of small business in meeting DoD research and development needs, fostering and encouraging participation by minority and disadvantaged persons in technological innovation, and increasing the commercial application of DoD-supported research or research and development results. Presentation of the technical abstracts which describe the nature of the funded FY 1985 Phase I SBIR projects is the main purpose of the report. Proprietary information is not provided in these abstracts, therefore, technical details may be missing. For this reason, the report supplies the names of individuals in the small business firms who may be contacted should more information be needed on a specific project.
