Socioeconomic Data Summary Southern California Shoreline.

Abstract

This report presents a data summary of socioeconomic data for the six Southern California coastal counties from San Luis Obispo south through San Diego counties. This study is part of the coast of California storm and tidal waves study currently being by the United States Corps of Engineers. The five categories of interest in the data search were: (1) Coastal land use and land values, (2) Beach names and ownership, (3) Current (and future) populations and geographic origins of beach uses, (4) Local and regional perceptions of coastal erosion. Beach use, (5) Coastal storm damages, Each of these five categories re addressed county by county with available statics presented.
