Available Loss Factor Noise Factor, and Efficiency of a Mismatched Transmission Line.

Abstract

Exact expressions for the available loss factor, noise factor, and efficiency of a distributed linear transmission line are presented for arbitrary mismatch of its source and load impedances to the line's characteristic impedance. Numerical results are given for a low-loss coaxial line. Keywords include: Antenna; Available loss factor; Efficiency and Electrically-Short Antenna.
