St. Juliens Creek Ocean Construction Equipment Inventory Support Facility Five Year Plan. Volume 1. Results and Discussion.

Abstract

A Five Year Plan for the OCEI Support Facility at St. Juliens Creek, Portsmouth, Virginia, is presented. The plan is developed from internally generated planning documents, information collected in a detailed site assessment, and a Basic Facility Requirements (BFR) study. The analysis indicates that the existing facility has adequate storage, maintenance, and administrative spaces, but that significant changes and improvements are warranted to meet future support requirements of the OCEI and to increase the facility's efficiency and habitability. Repairs, modifications and additions are proposed to meet these needs. The recommended changes are costed and prioritized for FY84 through FY88. Expeditions decisions regarding the near and long term futures of certain facility components are required in order to insure continuity of operation. (Author)
