On the Existence of Periodic Solutions for a Class of Symmetric Hamiltonian Systems.

Abstract

Hamiltonian systems are used to model the motion of discrete mechanical systems. This paper establishes the existence of periodic solutions for a class of such systems. The method developed to prove existence should be useful for other such problems. Keywords: Minimax technique; Ordinary differential equations; and Variational problem.
