Abstract

On 3-6 October 1984 the Defense Technical Information Center sponsored, with the support of the American Defense Preparedness Association, a conference entitled 'Computer Interfaces and Intermediaries for Information Retrieval'. The purpose of the conference was to bring together experts in the field of user interfaces to promote a sharing of the results of developmental efforts. Topics included in the selected papers cover the general area of information retrieval. Human-computer interaction, common command language, intermediary systems and future directions in artificial intelligence were the session topics. Keywords: Expert systems; Access.
