Investigation of Characteristics and Application of New CCD (Charge Coupled Devices) Signal Processing Devices.

Abstract

This report describes the work done to develop interface and support circuitry for additional PTF, ABC and RSAM modules and the use of a Z80 microprocessor in controlling the interconnection of these modules in various systems. In an attempt to increase the flexibility and range of applications, emphasis has been directed to architectural additions, modification of existing hardware, new algorithm development and new software development. Keywords: Charge coupled devices (CCD); Signal processing applications; CCD-based module; Microprocessor control; Flexible interconnections; Hardware modification; and Software control.
