Job Attitudes of USAF Security Police Personnel.

Abstract

This report analyzes data obtained from the Organizational Assessment Package (OAP) to determine if there are significant differences between the job attitudes of personnel in the Security Police field and those of personnel in other Air Force career fields. Nearly 5000 Security Police personnel were sampled and compared to the Leadership Management Development Centers (LMDC) Data Base of over 100,000 participants. The report contains two separate analyses, demographic and attitudinal. The level of significance for all t-tests was alpha = .05. The results show that attitudinally significant differences exit in all areas of the OAP for officer, enlisted, and civilian Security Police personnel. The study concludes that communication is the single element which resulted in the majority of less positive results. Recommendations are made for further study and for improved organizational communications.
