Job Attitudes of AFSC (Air Force Systems Command) Acquisition Project Managers.

Abstract

Job attitudes of AFSC acquisition project managers are compared to those of other AFSC officers and other Air Force officers. The Organizational Assessment Package Survey is the instrument used to collect the data for the comparisons. The survey measures 21 job attitude factors in this research. Statistical analysis of the data was conducted at the 95% confidence level. Results of the analysis revealed AFSC project managers have generally less favorable job attitudes than the other comparison groups. The study concludes that the demographic differences among groups are primarily responsible for the differences in attitudes. Four recommendations are provided to improve the demographic structure of the career field and to prevent further occurrences of less favorable job attitudes. (Author)
