Welding Science and Technology in Europe: A Survey and Assessment.

Abstract

Welding research is organized and coordinated differently within each country, but the International Institute of Welding, serves to coordinate the results on an international scale. The UK, West Germany, and Scandinavia are leading the technological progress in Western Europe, but Eastern Europe places more emphasis on welding research than does the West. In all of Europe the research tends to be applied rather than basic. This report includes a list of key people. Keywords: Metallurgy.
