Evaluation of the Multifunction Sensor Acceleration Sensitive Terms MU sub A and MU sub B.

Abstract

Collins makes the assumption that g-sensitive terms MUA2 and MUB2 are small and therefore negligible. The purpose of this study is to determine if this assumption is valid. Laboratory tests were carefully performed to confirm the magnitudes of these terms. The results clearly show a significant gyro error when the terms are assumed small, stable, and negligible.
