The Event Related Brain Potential as an Index of Information Processing and Cognitive Activity. A Program of Basic Research. Supplement A. Neuromagnetic Studies

Abstract

A study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of obtaining concurrent measures of event-related potentials (ERPs), and event-related magnetic fields (ERFs). Subjects participated in an oddball task while simultaneous ERPs and ERFs were recorded. Isocontour field maps generated for the P300 component are consistent with the suggestion that the P300 may be generated in, or near, the hippocampal formation.
