Dugdale Model for Circumferential Through-Cracks in Pipes Loaded by Bending,

Abstract

The paper contains an analytical solution to the title problem by means of the semimembrane theory of cylindrical shells. Results include the crack opening displacements as a function of circumferential angle, the fracture parameter J, and the effects of the crack on the compliance of the pipe. (Author)
