Analysis od Ducted Propellers in Steady Flow

Abstract

This report describes a computer program (DPSF), based on lifting surface theory, which analyzes the hydrodynamic performance of a ducted or banded propeller in an axisymmetric inflow. Special attention is given the modelling of flow through the clearance gap. Calculated results are compared with experimental data, and numerical convergence is demonstrated.
