Processing Studies for Optically Transparent La(2)O(3)-Doped Y(2)O(3).

Abstract

The processing and properties of La2O3-doped Y2O3 were studied with emphasis on increased understanding and control of processing to achieve improved optical and mechanical properties. The program resulted in a successful demonstration of prototype infrared windows.
