Management of Transportation Equipment.

Abstract

This publication provides guidelines for the management of transportation equipment. Procedures for administration, operation, and maintenance are detailed herein, including procurement, technical record control, disposition of equipment, and procedures for operation. Automotive, construction, weight handling, and railroad equipment are covered. Such maintenance areas as scheduling; shop control; supply; equipment modification; painting, protective coatings, and markings; and guidelines for fuels and lubricants are presented. (Author)
