Initial Appraisal Report for Section 14, Emergency Streambank Protection, Shell Rock River, County Highway S-56, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. Revision.

Abstract

This report summarizes a study for providing Section 14 emergency streambank protection along the west right of the Shell Rock River, south of Plymouth, in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. This initial appraisal report for emergency streambank protection recommends placing riprap material along 425 feet of the right bank of the Shell Rock River ot protect County Road S-56 in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, from imminent failure. The total estimated cost for the project is $54,500, with a benefit-to-cost ratio of 1.8. The project satisfies the criteria for Federal participation and is recommended for construction under the authority of Section 14 of the 1946 Flood Control Act, is amended.
