Kinetics and Degradation Products of Trichloroethene.

Abstract

Existing literature was reviewed to identify proposed or demonstrated instances of degradation of trichloroethene (trichloroethylene or TCE) by biological or abiotic mechanisms. The information was evaluated for possible future research into abiotic degradation mechanisms, thereby, increasing our understanding of in situ processes occuring in TCE-contaminated sites providing alternate treatment technologies.
