Southwest Atlantic Ocean Marathon Expedition, Leg 8.

Abstract

During October and November 1984, scientists aboard the R/V Thomas Washington studied the circulation and thermohaline and nutrient stratifications in the central Argentine Basin. A total of 101 CTD stations were occupied and 179 XBT drops were made. The hydrographic and nutrient data appear in this report as station listings and plots. Two high resolution contoured XBT sections between Montevideo, Uruguay, and the central basin are included. (Author)
