Comparison of Three Servo-Mechanism Design Techniques for Accommodation of an External Disturbance.

Abstract

This report contains a comparison of two techniques proposed by Johnson and a technique proposed by Davison for design of a servo-mechanism controller which will accommodate an external disturbance. A controller is designed, using each of the three techniques, for an example plant and external disturbance. Plots are presented to show the performance of each controller. Plots showing the sensitivity of each controller to variations in controller gains and to disturbance inputs different from the assumed disturbance input are also presented. (Author)
