Installation Restoration Program Phase II - Confirmation/Quantification. Stage 1. Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.

Abstract

Investigated were 11 sites consisting of (1) the installation and sampling of two ground water monitor wells, (2) ground water sampling of eight base wells, and (3) drilling and sampling soils from 47 borings. The ground water and soil samples were analyzed for up to 54 constituents, including purgeable halocarbons and aromatics, pesticides, heavy metals, oil and grease, phenol, TOC, and PCBs. Measurable amounts of contamination in the soil may have been found at all sites. Sites 3, 18 and 1 appear to be the most contaminated.
