Job Mobility and Wage Growth

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effect of alternative job assignments and on wage growth within the firm. A multiple regression analysis is used to examine the influence of job changes and other factors on wage growth. The most highly rewarded type of job mobility is across departmental areas. Also, a performance rating variable significantly effects wage growth. The results indicated that certain mobility paths lead to advance for career development is suggested.
