STARS (Software Technology for Adaptable Reliable Systems) Goals and Objectives Working Group.

Abstract

At the direction of the Acting Director of the Department of Defense (DoD) Software Technology for Adaptable Reliable Systems (STARS) Program, a Goals and Objectives Working Group was formed to prepare this decomposition of the program's goals and objectives. Starting with the STARS Program's Charter, the Group developed statements of derivative, high-level, technical goals and objectives for the Program as a whole, and decomposed these goals and objectives into specific statements of the technical scope and goals of each Activity Area within the STARS Program. This document also addresses issues such as phasing of products, coordination with other programs, and demonstration of cost/benefit.
