A Mathematical Model of the Sea King Mk.50 Helicopter Aerodynamics and Kinematics

Abstract

Details are given of the expression used to describe the aerodynamics and kinematics of the Sea King Mk.50 helicopter during steady flight and low rate maneuvers up to an advance ratio of 0.3. The aerodynamics/kinematics formulation is a major component of the Sea King mathematical model developed by Aeronautical Research Laboratories (ARL) for flight simulation of this Anti- Submarine Warfare helicopter.
