Cultural Resources Inventory for a Small-Boat Harbor at Trempealeau, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin

Abstract

This report presents the results of a cultural resources survey for a proposed Corps of Engineers small-boat harbor at Lock and Dam no. 6 near Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Previous work near the proposed location, as well as background research indicated the area had been greatly disturbed during construction of Lock and Dam no.6 in the early 1930's. The visual surface inspection found no evidence of historic or archaeological resources, and confirmed the distributed nature of the area. It is concluded that no cultural resources will be endangered by the construction of a small-boat harbor.
