AVGAS/AUTOGAS (Aviation Gasoline/Automobile Gasoline) Comparison. Winter Grade Fuels.

Abstract

This report describes dynamometer tests which simulated conditions found in a general aviation aircraft. In these tests, automobile gasoline was tested and compared with aviation gasoline. The tendency for vapor lock and detonation was measured as a function of gasoline grade, Reid Vapor Pressure, and the age of the fuel.
