Abstract

This report is a compilation of papers presented at the 1986 International Aerospace and Ground Conference on Lightning and Static Electricity, held at the Stouffer Dayton Plaza Hotel, Dayton, Ohio, June 24-26 1986. It includes papers concerning lightning phenomenology, lightning characterization, modeling and simulation, test criteria and techniques, and protection of both Airborne and Ground Systems. This conference was sponsored by the National Interagency Coordination Group (NICG) of the National Atmospheric Electricity Hazards Protection Program in concert with the Florida Institute of Technology and in association with the SAE-AE4 Committee on Lightning, the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority, the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, U.K., and Culham Laboratories, U.K.
