Abstract

The Second World Congress on Biomaterials was held in Washington, D.C., U.S.A., on April 27 - May 1, 1984. The meeting was the 16th international biomaterials symposium and was held in conjunction with the 10th annual meeting of the Society for Biomaterials. There were 140 papers dealing with applications of biomaterials in orthopedics, 78 papers dealing with biomaterials for cardiovascular applications, 39 papers dealing with dental applications of biomaterials, and 104 general papers.
