Control Electronics for an Ion Mass Filter in the Lower Ionosphere Payload Development Program.

Abstract

This report describes a control and data transmission system for a switchable negative/positive ion mass filter. The system was developed for small diameter rocket applications. A Superarcus rocket could place the mass spectrometer system in the 40 to 60 km range for measurements. Keywords: Ion Mass Spectrometer; Control Circuits.
